You might have seen reports over the past few days that the Government has asked two former newspaper editors, Lord Moore and Paul Dacre, to take on roles with the BBC and Ofcom . You might have wondered what the fuss was all about. And you might have concluded that the choice of two relatively obscure figures to take on two relatively obscure jobs was much ado about nothing.
