Many people across the country voted Conservative for the first time in December and they are invested in the idea of the UK as a positive, global trading nation. People and businesses in my region want to be associated with success. They want to be known as a place on the up. I know how brilliant this area is and I will continue to bang the drum. No one else is going to do it for us.
