UNPAID carers based in certain regions in the UK may be entitled to get an additional £308 payment on top of the benefits they already receive from the Department for Work and Pensions . Most people who look after a loved one without pay are able to get Carer's Allowance, but a new benefit scheme is specifically targeting young carers to help with their living costs.
