HMRC is collecting more from Inheritance Tax with £2.7billion paid to the Government between April and August. This was an increase of £700million when compared to the same period last year and in 2021, record levels of IHT have been paid overall. Unfortunately, this may lead to more disputes as family members and executors struggle to find the resources to pay the bill, but solutions are available.
