Savers face a 'very bleak winter': Families will need an extra £107 for bills - what to do



UNIVERSAL CREDIT payments are set to be cut by £20 per week from October 6, with claimants on the verge of losing over £1,000 per year due to the temporary uplift ending. On top of this, spikes in energy bills, a rise in the rate of inflation and the end of the furlough scheme are all due to hit savers in Autumn. From October, British families will need to find more than £100 extra per month to afford their bills.
