It was impossible to see the front page of yesterday's Daily Express and not feel shame. According to the Care Quality Commission , one in five dementia care homes is either inadequate or needs improvement. The crisis in social care - not just for people with dementia but all those who need it - is a blot on our nation. We are all familiar with the exposés of some care homes.
