THIS is in so many ways an epoch-defining election – the stakes have seldom been higher. It will determine whether we become a self-governing democracy again or stay locked inside the EU in defiance of the referendum result and also whether we carry on having broadly sensible policies on the economy or lurch into a ruinous experiment with Marxist economics.
