AS YET we know little about the 39 people found dead in the back of a lorry at Grays, Essex, on Wednesday other than that they appear to have been Chinese nationals. We do not know what motivated them to make their ill-fated journey to Britain, where they planned to go, nor what they hoped to do when they arrived here.
