Uber employment changes to impact IR35, self-employed workers & raise 'gig economy' costs



UBER made headlines recently as the company announced it would award basic employment protections to their UK drivers, affecting around 70,000 workers. This followed a Supreme Court ruling which ruled drivers should be classed as workers and not self-employed contractors and the precedent this could set may have wide reaching ramifications.
