NOT for the first time there has been a strange dislocation this week between what has been going on in Parliament and what is going on in the minds of the public. Listen to Labour’s crowing at the Supreme Court ruling that Parliament must vote on Article 50 and you would think that our brave MPs were about to save us from the actions of a despotic government.
