‘We’re needy, not greedy!’ Universal Credit cuts slammed as uplift end looms



THE GOVERNMENT'S proposed cuts to Universal Credit have been slammed by various organisations in an open letter to Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Coordinated by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, the letter has received signatures from 100 community and national bodies involved in poverty, housing and health. Specifically, the letter is calling on Mr Johnson to reverse his decision to end the £20-a-week uplift to Universal Credit and Working Tax Credit.
