PIP payments will be passed on to a next of kin where a claimant has passed away, the Department for Work and Pensions confirmed yesterday. Rules for the payment, formally known as Personal Independence Payment, will change over the coming months, with the DWP revising fast-tracked access to payments for terminally ill claimants.
