WASPI have expressed their anger at the Department for Work and Pensions following recent data which discovered the average state pension is leaving retirees short handed and failing to provide a decent standard of living for pensioners. The research revealed there is a gap of thousands of pounds between the state pension amount and the average spend of both single pensioners as well as couples.
