State pension: 'Extraordinarily generous' 8% rise would still leave pensioners £730 short



PENSIONERS would still be left with a gap in their income if the state pension does rise to eight percent. The rise would still leave a £730-a-year income gap compared to the Joseph Rowntree Foundation's Minimum Income Standard, new analysis from retirement specialist Just Group shows.
