State pension age hike 'needs a serious rethink' - 'no justification' as life span falls



CHANGES to the state pension age which are planned for 2028 need a ‘serious rethink' according to a retirement expert, after data revealed that life expectancy in the UK has fallen. The state pension age is set to increase from 66 to 67, but with the COVID-19 pandemic causing life expectancy to drop, the Government is being called upon to change their plans.
