PIP claimants to get backdated payments as Supreme Court decision forces DWP law changes



PIP ASSESSMENT and review rules are set to be upended by the Department for Work and Pensions over the coming months, as the Government confirmed its commitment to doing away with unnecessary and costly assessments. Recently, the DWP confirmed a change to PIP law will now be applied to all reviews made since September 17, 2020. As such, those who think they should be awarded payments may now find themselves eligible for support. Additionally, thousands could be issued with backdated payments.
