Income tax 'will need to rise' to pay for Universal Credit uplift extension warns Minister



INCOME TAX will need to rise by at least a penny if the Government decides to keep the £20 Universal Credit uplift. Sky News put it to Business Minister Paul Scully this morning that most people would accept a penny increase in Income Tax to keep the uplift, as he warned the £6billion cost had to come from somewhere.
