ALTHOUGH the last eighteen months have not been easy, it has provided the opportunity for some people to put money aside because they have not been able to spend it on trips abroad or nights out. One in six British people invested for the first time during lockdown and one in three invested more than usual, according to the experts at Barclays Smart Investor who say now is a good time to dip one's toes in the investment waters.
