THE YOUNGER generation saved the most during lockdown, average savings during the pandemic £300 higher than the national average. This goes against popular recent narrative that it is the over 60s - so called "Boomers" - who enjoy lavish wealth and have money in the bank to spare. Even more interestingly, Millennials have managed to come out of the pandemic better off because they have learned money principles older people have long applied to their finances.
