STATE pension payments can only be claimed from a certain age and the Department for Work and Pensions has regularly altered the claiming rules. Recently, historical changes made by the Government were dubbed "inadequate" and Thérèse Coffey, the Secretary of State at the Department for Work and Pensions, has faced pressures to make amends.
