Brexit has exposed Labour’s contempt for its heartlands says Tory in letter to ‘Red Wall’



As voters prepare to cast their ballots on Thursday traditional Labour heartland seats look vulnerable for the first time in decades. One of them is South Shields held by Labour since 1935 but where the local Labour MP Emma Lewell-Buck voted three times to block Brexit despite a 62 percent leave vote in the constituency. The Express has been passed a letter to constituents from the Conservative candidate Oni Oviri who believes that Brexit will bring huge prosperity and rewards to the Port of Tyne.
