
ITALIAN markets continued to feel the fallout of the government’s controversial deficit budget as the FTSE MIB plummeted to its lowest level since April 2017. The FTSE MIB tumbled more than 2 percent to its weakest point in a year and a half after fresh criticism from European Union officials sent Italian bond yields soaring to new highs.
