ONCE in a while, amid the barmy, bossy edicts and conflicting, confusing statistics, those who pronounce on our nation's health have a really, really good idea. The latest – that instead of handing out happy pills doctors should prescribe cookery classes, walking groups and art lessons to bring older people together and combat the curse of loneliness – is one of the best.
