A sheriff's deputy in Texas has died after being shot multiple times from behind while at a gas station Friday night, according to authorities
The uniformed Harris County officer was filling a patrol car with gas at a Chevron in the northwest area of the county when he was ambushed, local police said. After multiple shots, the deputy, who was on duty, fell to the ground. The suspect approached the fallen officer and continued to shoot him before he fled
Harris County Sheriff's Office Deputy Thomas Gilliland said the shooting may be a random act, according to ABC 13.
