IN an extension of the Greater Fool theory of financial markets - a consumer might pay an exorbitant price for an asset, but there is always a bigger idiot who will pay more - government ministers can take some comfort that however badly they mismanage a crisis, leaders of the Church of England can be relied upon to handle it even worse.
