UNIVERSAL CREDIT payments are set to be reduced from autumn as Thérèse Coffey, the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, recently confirmed the £20 uplift awarded during the pandemic will be withdrawn. This will likely affect thousands of families across the UK but the DWP has confirmed it has yet to make an assessment of the impact.
