State pension UK: NI statement is needed to check on contributions – do you have enough?



STATE Pension payments are dependent on a person's National Insurance record, with a minimum of 10 years of contributions needed to receive payments. A state pension forecast can be requested to find out how much a state pension a person will receive in retirement but a separate document will be needed to check on a National Insurance history.
