The pound US dollar exchange rate has slipped slightly this morning, leaving the paring fluctuating around $1.255. The pound was able to edge up against the US dollar before the weekend in reaction to comments from Federal Reserve chairman Jerome Powell, who increased expectations of a rate cut later this month.
