The pound euro exchange rate is up slightly today and is trading in the region of €1.150. The pound has risen against the euro today after the publication of the latest Eurozone Markit PMI figures for January, which revealed a range of below-expectation data, showing the bloc’s private sector narrowly avoiding contraction at the start of 2019.
