THE pound has risen against the euro to trade at a level of €1.121 today following news that the UK unemployment rate is at its lowest level since 1975. June’s UK jobless rate figure surprised economists by falling from 4.2 per cent to 4 per cent, but UK wage growth data has been less supportive.
