BIFFA chief Ian Wakelin is stepping down after nearly eight years at the waste management firm as it posted a 10 per cent rise in annual profit. Mr Wakelin, who took charge in September 2010, will be succeeded by the firm’s chief financial officer, Michael Topham, once Biffa has recruited a replacement for his existing role.
