One day before the United States commemorated the 14th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, New Yorkers were treated to a beautiful break from the rain on Thursday.
A double rainbow stretched across the sky, and to some observers, one end seemed to touch down right at the Freedom Tower that now stands at the site where the Twin Towers once rose
Ben Sturner, the CEO of a sports marketting agency, spotted the rainbow emerging from in lower Manhattan from his apartment in Queens.
"I see this rainbow, and it's coming from the World Trade Center and it's the most gorgeous rainbow I've ever seen," Sturner told NBC 4 New York. "It gives me chills." Read more...
