PENSION planning is a crucial element of a person's financial life and while free-to-use guidance is available from numerous sources, recent analysis shows there's a worryingly low level of take-up among those approaching retirement. In recent months, the Department for Work and Pensions have set out plans to encourage the use of pension's advice before withdrawals are made but these efforts have been harshly criticised by certain MPs.
