My constituents didn’t vote Conservative to get Labour Lite, says CHRIS CLARKSON



Like a lot of the Red Wall seats, Heywood and Middleton elected its first non-Labour MP in December. It'd be all to easy to say that Brexit was the sole defining issue on the doorstep in last year's General Election - it was certainly a factor - but in truth, there were a number of moving parts in play and the decision to back a Conservative candidate for the first time was a result of all of these aligning.
