The pound-euro exchange rate fell by 0.6 percent today, with the pairing currently trading around €1.112 following contentious talks between Prime Minister Boris Johnson and German Chancellor Angela Merkel in which the German premier described Mr Johnson’s “final” deal proposal as “unworkable”.
