Doctors’ union is risking lives just to make a point, says Ross Clark



THERE came a point in the miners’ strike of 1984/85 when it began to dawn on ordinary miners that, however much they feared for their jobs in rationalisation of the coal industry, they were being used by the union leaders in a highly politicised battle with the government.
