Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates was by all accounts one of the best books of 2015. Besides being a #1 New York Times bestseller, the harrowing discussion of race in America won the National Book Award for Non-Fiction and was on the Best Books list for every major publication
But now it has one more accolade to add to the pile, one that may be surprising to many readers: Best Young Adult book of the year.
