London gallery hosts all-women show to smash art's glass ceilings

LONDON — In 1989, the female artists collective Guerrilla Girls famously asked in a poster, "Do women have be to be naked to get into the Met. Museum?"

In 2016, not a lot has changed in the art world. Women are still vastly underrepresented in all facets: from artists and museum directors to curators and permanent collections.

An exhibition to mark the 30th anniversary of the prominent London art space the Saatchi Gallery hopes to do its part to smash these glass ceilings. Its "Champagne Life," exhibition, opening Wednesday is its first all-women exhibition. Read more...
