The way we treat our old folk in care is shameful, says ROSS CLARK



THERE is an old adage, sometimes attributed to Mahatma Ghandi, that you should judge a society by the way it treats its weakest members. On that score Britain’s reputation will have to be assessed by the Care Quality Commission's report into the Woolton Manor Care Home in Liverpool. It does not make pleasant reading.
