True Game of Thrones aficionados know that King's Landing, Winterfell and Astapor are actually locations in Croatia, Scotland and Morocco.

The show uses locations all around the world to create its fictional landscape, and Northern Ireland has played a recurring role in the series. The real-life locations for places like Castle Black and Hardhome have made the area a popular fan destination.
